Champions, Leicester city were under pressure heading into the fixture at the King Power Stadium but proceeded to take Pep Guardiola’s men apart.
Jamie Vardy struck with just three minutes on the clock as he got onto the end of a pass from Islam Slimani, before Andy King scored two minutes later, with a curled effort into the roof of the net, to beat Claudio Bravo.
Manchester City were reeling and it only got worse for the visitors when Leicester scored again in the 20th minute, Vardy getting on the end of a superb cross from Riyad Mahrez to make it 3-0.
Islam Slamani provided the assist for both goals and was influential thought out the contest at the King Power.
Aleksandar Kolarov did pull one back in the closing stages for City with a fine free-kick.
And Nolito was also on target to make the score more respectable for the away side.
The result means Leicester move up to 14th in the Premier League and move further away from the relegation zone.
