Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta admits they could lose Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona this summer.
The two clubs have been in talks over the Argentina international for some months. Inter are insisting Lautaro will only leave for an offer equivalent to his €111m buyout clause.
“The club does not want to sell Lautaro,” Marotta told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I don’t know what Barcelona thinks, maybe they also have alternatives … I hope they don’t pay the clause. And in the event of farewell, a top player will come in place of Lautaro.”
Asked about PSG veteran Edinson Cavani, Marotta added: “Cavani is one of the opportunities, but we have not studied the issue in depth: at the moment he is quite far from Inter.”
