Following the Boxing Day defeat to Everton, Claudio Ranieri says it is important for his side to react with a positive result against West Ham United.
The Foxes were beaten 2-0 at King Power Stadium on Monday, as second-half strikes from Kevin Mirallas and Romelu Lukaku handed the Toffees all three points.
While Ranieri was pleased with his side’s first-half performance, the City boss was left frustrated at the final whistle.
But with West Ham next up on Saturday, Leicester have the opportunity to return to winning ways in what will be their final game of 2016.
“We wanted to give our fans a very good present with a victory,” Ranieri told LCFC TV. “Until the goal, we played good, but with their first shot they scored. It’s unbelievable this season.
“Maybe we reacted a little late for the long kick from the goalkeeper then after it was very difficult for us to get back into the match.
“They controlled the match much better than us. We were a little nervous. We tried to do a lot of crosses, but the ‘keeper saved them very well.
“In the second half they scored a goal after five minutes and that changed the way of the match. Until that we played very well. [Ben] Chilwell made a fantastic performance today.
“Now it is important to react very well. We have a match against West Ham and I hope it will be better.”
