His Royal Highness, Eze Charles Iroegbu, the traditional ruler of Umueze community of Nguru Mbaise in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State has been kidnapped.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Eze Iroegbu, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of All States Mass Transit, was kidnapped along with his cabinet chiefs.
The incident, coincidentally, is coming around the same time the Ehime Mbano police station was attacked.
The traditional ruler and his cabinet chiefs were on their way back from a traditional wedding at Mbano when they were kidnapped by some heavily armed men.
The incident has thrown the entire community into a very deep sorrowful mood.
TNG on Thursday learnt the gun-wielding kidnappers laid ambush awaiting the traditional ruler and his cabinet chiefs and whisked them away.
A source revealed that the kidnappers took the traditional ruler and his cabinet chiefs away leaving the three vehicles they were in behind.
Meanwhile, the Police command in Imo was yet to speak on the incident at the time of filing this report.
