Joseph Marley, also known as Jo Mersa, has reportedly died at the age of 31, after being found unresponsive in his vehicle.
It was gathered that Joseph, the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley, died of an asthma attack.
Recall that Bob Marley died at the age of 36.
Tidal just posted to Twitter honoring the late artist, the post read “Forever in our hearts. RIP Jo Mersa Marley.”
He debuted in 2014 releasing, through iTunes and Spotify, an EP “Comfortable”. He also appeared on the Grammy-winning album Strictly Roots by Morgan Heritage.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the official autopsy results for Joseph’s death have not yet been revealed.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Joseph Marley’s dad, Stephen, was the fourth-born child and second-born son of Bob Marley.
Jo Mersa is an eight-time Grammy award winner for his solo work, family collaborations, and production work. He grew up in Kingston, Jamaica, where music ran through his blood.
At seven years old, he began his professional singing career when he joined older siblings Ziggy, Sharon, and Cedella in their group called The Melody Makers.
The Burn It Down singer is also survived by his wife and daughter. Jo Mersa spent his early years in Jamaica before he moved to Florida.
He studied studio engineering at Miami Dade College, according to a 2014 article by the Jamaica Observer.
At the time, Jo told the outlet that the only challenge he faced was maintaining the lofty standards of the Marley name.
“My father has created a legacy by putting out songs with meaning. It’s something I have to live up to,” he said.
