Social media influencer and #EndSARS promoter, Mr Kelvin Odanz has alleged that the Nigerian police have been secretly going round to arrest people who actively participated in the #EndSARS protest of October 2020.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Mr Odanz made this known, revealing that one Somto Onuchukwu, who participated in the #EndSARS protest was arrested by the police from his home in Abuja, the federal capital territory (FCT) on Friday.
“Since the #endsars protest ended, the Nigerian police have been secretly abdicating/arresting some of the people who actively participated in the protest as a retribution for speaking against injustice. Today they’ve taken @chosensomto from his house in Abuja,” Odanz alleged.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that Onuchukwu had been released. The tweet on his Twitter handle before he was arrested reads: “We thought Jonathan was a weak leader, Buhari is absent. 822 days to go”.
#FreeSomtoNow-Thanks guys, our efforts paid off. The @PoliceNG in Kubwa, Abuja has released Somto Onuchukwu @chosensomto. Let’s continue to hold this failed @OfficialAPCNg administration to account. Intimidation & harassment of citizens are signs of a failed government. pic.twitter.com/t9j1bxsXDQ
