Fans of Limpopo singer, Kcee were instantly enamored and enthralled when the pop-star shared the story of Promise, a shoe- rack seller he had unwittingly stumbled upon while hawking recharge card for a charity project.
However Promise who has been hawking for over 6 years, was detained by officials of KAI (Kick Against Indiscipline) and transported to their office in Alausa, Ikeja . Amazingly Kcee and his crew the following week went all out to help him. Promise was released after Kcee and E-Money his brother interfered . They were meant to sign an undertaking stating that Promise will never hawk again.
Kcee and his brother payed it forward by giving promise a brand new Toyota Corolla ,a sum of #300,000 to fuel the car, and a new apartment . He was also assisted in starting a shoe business.
Promise accompanied by his mother, recently paid Kcee and E-Money a visit. An elated Kcee , took to his Instagram page to share the story.
According to him:” February 2016, I met Promise on the street hawking shoes, his story moved me and the Five Star Family took him in. This past weekend, he brought his mum to meet me and my brother and it was a very emotional moment for me. These little things keep me going. God Bless my fans!
