Nigerian music star, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by her stage name Simi, has described the 2023 presidential election as “blatantly corrupt”.
She expressed her disappointment with some of the incidents recorded in the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly election conducted last weekend.
Simi in a tweet she shared, said everyone should be fighting for justice and a free and fair election in spite of the political party they support.
How can you even support anything that is this blatantly corrupt? Didn’t you see the chaos yesterday. The thugs? The disenfranchisement? Regardless of who you support
The “AYO” crooner, who also wondered how one can support this election, also pointed out that there were thugs and people were disenfranchised.
Simi tweeted: “How can you even support anything that is this blatantly corrupt? Didn’t you see the chaos yesterday. The thugs? The disenfranchisement? Regardless of who you support, shouldn’t all of us be fighting for justice and a fair election? What is your priority? Can’t you read the room?”
