Jamb Question crooner, Simisola Ogunleye better known as Simi has made the top five spot on the Billboard music charts. The body of work, released twelve days ago, debuted at number five on the World Album charts.
The album was heralded on the chart by ‘Love and Fall’ by Bobby, ‘Confidencias’ by Ricardo Delgado, ‘Carnavales Music’ by Allison and ‘Voices of Angels’ by Celtic Woman & The Orchestra of Ireland.
The excited 29-year-old singer took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to celebrate the achievement.
“We charted No. 5 on Billboard World Music charts,” she wrote.
“#Simisola I think I’m gonna cry…but before then, I gotta say Thank You #SimiArmy! This is our album. But most of all, Thank you Jesus.
“PS: We’re No. 1 on iTunes and Apple Music. Maaaan God is good. It’s beautiful to watch,” she revealed
Her rumored beau, Adekunle Gold, also had his eponymous album on the same World Albums chart.
Earlier in the year, Reminisce became the first Nigerian artiste to have successive albums on the chart, with his fourth effort El Hadj debuting at number 13.
