Emotion ran high as friends; colleagues and family members paid their last respect to the late veteran actor, Olumide Bakare, when he was buried today.
The burial took place at St. James Cathedral, Ibadan, Oyo State. His final journey began at 10a.m. with close family friends and children in attendance. The deceased thespian was wheeled in a grey casket, with the inscription ‘Olumide Akinyinka Bakare (Chief Koko of Oluwalanre lodge)’ written on it.
According to reports gathered by TheNewsGuru, the casket which was used in burying the talented thespian cost over N2m.
Speaking at the burial ceremony, the late actor’s son, Bode Bakare said:”Dad, you did not just exist, you lived life to the fullest and left behind a trail that will never be forgotten.You touched many lives. I love you dad and I’ll never forget you telling me love you love me. Keep resting in power, my dad, my friend, My hero”
