Afro-fusion artiste, Adekunle Gold did not plan to be a musician. The ‘Ire’ sensation had always wanted to be a great animator because he studied graphic designing in the university.
In his latest trending song,’Ire’ , Adekunle croons about his journey to the top, adding that he was oblivious of the fact that what he was searching for was within him.
Speaking on his career trajectory, the Orente singer said:”I thought that I was going to get something else but little did I know that everything I am right now was inside of me back then” he said in a chat with the Raro Lae Show.
When asked about the message behind ‘Ire’, he said:”It was just me telling the world that you need to trust your process. It’s okay to worry because I worry as well but know that that person is you already. You just need to put yourself in that place. For the longest time in my life, I thought my greatness was somewhere else. I badly wanted to be an animator because I studied graphics in school and I wanted to do animations.”
