What I advised Davido to do – Akon

African-American singer, Akon, has revealed how he advised Nigerian sensation Davido to return back to Africa to make his music

He noted that he gave the advice when Davido was trying to be a rapper in America.

He added that today, his advice which Davido heeded has paid off in the long run.

“At the time I was pushing ‘Thug Record’, Davido was in Atlanta trying to be a rapper. I told him, nigga you better move back to Africa and do your music over there. He listened and went back home. Today, he’s one of the biggest Afrobeats artistes.”
