Chelsea are on the verge of signing former Leicester City goalie, Kasper Schmeichel as a replacement for departing Kepa Arizabalaga who’s Real Madrid bound.
Kepa is all set to depart Chelsea this summer after Edouard Mendy already left Stamford Bridge for Saudi pro league.
Real Madrid are in need of a new goalkeeper as Thibault Courtois has suffered a serious knee injury.
The Los Blancos want to bring in Kepa from Chelsea on a loan deal.
Chelsea have already signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton for £25million and it appears that he will go straight into the starting line-up when they take on Liverpool in their Premier League opener on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
However, there are reports that Kepa could still man the post for Chelsea against Liverpool in Sunday’s crunchy ti versus Liverpool.
The Blues will need another keeper in the squad and according to The Guardian, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have turned their attention to Schmeichel, who currently plays for Nice.
