Former Nasarawa United player, Justice Christopher, who played for Nigeria’s national football team at the 2002 FIFA World Cup is dead.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Christopher died at the age of 40 after he slumped at his hotel complex in Jos, Plateau State on Tuesday.
The deceased was confirmed dead at the hospital he was rushed to. He holds eleven caps.
The late midfielder played for several clubs, including Katsina United, Sharks F.C., Bendel Insurance FC, Antwerp FC (Belgium), Levski Sofia (Bulgaria), Trelleborgs FF (Sweden), Alania Vladikavkaz in Russia and Herfølge BK in Denmark.
After the end of the season 2006/2007, he announced his retirement from football. On 21 October 2012, Christopher announced his comeback and signed for Nasarawa United.
