Following the blow out of the allegations of financial infractions at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, the Presidency has summoned the Minister of Interior, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Monitored reports have it that the Minister of Interior is billed to meet the President by afternoon of today. The Minister has been linked to some financial transactions with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs through a company he allegedly has interest in.
The company reportedly got over N400million contract from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu was suspended from office by President Bola Tinubu on Monday for financial irregularities and mismanagement of public fund.
Bunmi Tunji-Ojo was on a national tv program Monday night where he defended himself on the programme Politics Today.
While on the programme he admitted that he founded the company that is in the eyes of the storm but said he resigned his directorship since 2019 when he won election into the House of Representatives.
At the time of filing in this report, it was not confirmed whether Tunji-Ojo’s meeting is connected with the ongoing investigation of Betta Edu and his own company in contract racketeering.
