TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that United All-star team B lost to Old School Allstar, in a penalty shootout that separated both sides.
PIAS thrashed Old School Allstar in the final (1-0) to lift the Cup as the winner.
Speaking about United Allstar team A lost to PIAS twice consecutively, the former’s coach, Pampam, said his side played well but were unable to convert their scoring chances.
According to the first scorer of the tournament (Samuel), PIAS emerged winners because they deserve it and worked as a team.
“I came here this morning fully prepared. It was not an easy one but I thank God that we came out as the Champion. The Old School All-Star players are good in taking penalties, so that was what they were waiting for that moment, unlike PIAS. We went all out so it won’t get to penalty. Even, the Most Valuable Player was given to PIAS member, Baba-T.”
The goal that made PIAS emerge the winner was scored by one Francis in the 75th minute after a pass from the defense was fantastically converted to a goal.
All-Star football was established to allow older people (aged 35 years old upward), who played football as a youth or love the game, to exercise their bodies, burn calories, and interact.
