A music teacher of Federal Government Girls College, FGGC, Ikot, Itong in Akwa Ibom, Ojo Titilope Peter has emerged the overall best teacher among all federal government colleges in Nigeria.
Ojo who was full of joy shouting and making a joyful noise out ecstasy said ” I won a car I give all the glory to God Almighty.
Asked who is he dedicating the presidential award to he said: ” to my immediate past principal Engr Mrs Dasoye Opute and my current principal, Mr Ann Ajisafe, my wife who stood by my side all through these years.
He told journalists how he had released eight albums teaching federal government girls colleges how to play different musical instruments for over 20years.
Also, the overall best public schools administrator in Nigeria, Bello Akeem Oladimeji has dedicated his award to teachers, governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Oladimeji who spoke after receiving his presidential award at the Eagle Square Abuja said:
“The secret behind this is dedication to duty and above all God who gave me the ability and strength to achieve this mileage.
“First and foremost I want to dedicate this award to all teachers worldwide as their sweat can never be in vain, my commissioner for Education in Lagos and my amiable governor.
“They all contributed to this success story that made it possible for our school Oriwu Model College, Ikorodu, to achieve this great success. I am most grateful to them all.
Omolade Adeyemi of Imade College in Ekiti emerged the best teacher in all private schools in Nigeria.
The vice president, who represented President Bola Tinubu presented the awards, also in attendance at the event are, President of NLC, Joe Ajaero, Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, FCT minister of State, NUT president and other dignitaries.
