The national Assembly on Tuesday wore a sombre look as Senators mourn Senator Ignatius Longjan who passed on, Monday morning at Turkish Nigerian Hospital Abuja.
Senators were seen at the White House lobby signing the condolence register opened for the departed Senator who represented Plateau South of Plateau state.
Most senators that signed the condolence register described him as a gentleman with an impeccable way of making his presentations.
In his brief remarks after signing the register, Senator Mike Bamidele Opeyemi said “all we have to show in this life is the legacy we are going to leave behind even if we leave for the next 30 or 40years.
“It does not even matter the number of years we live on earth or the kind of car we drove or clothes we wear.
Also, the House on Monday adjourned plenary to honour Longjan as House moves to hold health conference for lawmakers.
Last week both chambers also adjourned plenary to honour Hon Mohammed Gawo who died in December during Christmas break.
