Liverpool defeated Aston Villa in the English Premier League by 3-0, courtesy of goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah and Matty Cash’s own goal.
In the 3rd minute of the encounter, the Hungarian latched on to a loose ball from Trent Arnold’s corner and drilled a diagonal shot across the box and inside the far post.
Salah’s pass found Darwin Nunez on the right side of the pitch and the Uruguay international’s shot hit the post and went in off Cash to register an own goal in favour of Liverpool.
In the 55th minute, Nunez, who had just missed a sitter from Salah’s cross, flicked on Andy Robertson’s corner and the Egypt international blasted home from close range for Liverpool’s third of the afternoon.
Elsewhere at Selhurst park, Odsonne Edouard scored twice as Crystal Palace beat Wolves to register their second win of the new campaign.
Edouard opened the scoring after he got in between two Wolves defenders to finish from Tyrick Mitchell’s excellent cross.
Then Edouard combined with Mateta and produced a calm slotted finish.
Matheus Cunha headed home from close range in added time but the points were already heading to Palace.
The scoreline leaves Palace with 7 points on 7th position after winning two, drawing one and losing 1 while Wolves are presently occupying the 15th position with just a win and three losses.
