Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is convinced they’re favourites going to Chelsea today.
He wrote for the Mirror: “Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel will not want to admit it, but when Liverpool travel to Chelsea, it’s a game that both teams have to win.
“It says everything about Manchester City’s incredible run of form that the reigning champions are threatening to turn this title race into a procession with half of the season still to play.
“You can be sure that at Anfield and Stamford Bridge, the message to both sets of players will be that Pep Guardiola’s men CAN still be caught.
“But to make that happen, either Liverpool or Chelsea have to deliver a statement of intent when they lock horns in west London this afternoon.
“And that means three points.
“A loss for either team will make a daunting task even more difficult.
“A draw will do nothing – apart from put another smile on Pep’s face.
“And that’s a factor that could play out perfectly for the visitors.
“… the onus will be on Chelsea to get on the front foot after losing one and drawing three of their last six Premier League games.
“Liverpool – whose draw at Tottenham last weekend was followed by defeat at Leicester – will welcome the space that the hosts might afford them.”
