Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has been ruled out for three weeks after being diagnosed with a grade two biceps femoris strain.
Osimhen was subbed out early in Napoli’s 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool on Wednesday in a UEFA Champions League game.
“It’s an important region of the muscle,” Doctor Marcello Manzuoli told Tuttomercatoweb.
“In this case, the recovery time hinges on the severity. There are 10/15 days between each degree, which is significant.
“On average, the second tier requires more than a month to resume practicing with the team, not necessarily play in matches.
The former Lille striker will miss Napoli’s next five games against Spezia, Glasgow Rangers, AC Milan, Torino and Ajax.
The Ajegunle bred footballer will not be part of Nigeria’s friendly game against Algeria scheduled to hold in Oran on the 27th of September.
