The All Progressive Congress, APC, Delta Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Ede Dafinone has given commendations to the Deputy President of the Senate, DSP Ovie Omo-Agege for singlehandedly taking the party to this path of victory come 2023.
The APC Delta Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Dafinone who gave this commendation today at Ughelli, Ughelli North local government area of Delta state during his official flag-off ceremony and Inauguration of the Ede Dafinone Senatorial Campaign Organization, said with the efforts puts in place so far by Sen. Omo-Agege, there is no doubt that it will be five over five.
Dafinone who said he has contested the Delta central senatorial position severally, said he is optimistic that the time to represent his people is now, adding that APC is the right party that will provides dividends of democracy to the people of Delta central senatorial district as member to represent the people at the national assembly.
Dafinone, “Omo-Agege has done a lot for Delta APC to the point that we have less work to do in ensuring that he singlehandedly driving the process to a level where we are convinced that nothing will stop us from victory in House of Assembly, Representatives, Senate to Presidency
Speaking further, he said, “I started my political carrier in 1998 as a member of PDP and in 2006, I contested for the position of senate but lost at the primaries.
“I returned to same party to contest for the senate in 2011 and it was in the process of consultation that news came that there would be rerun in Delta state where PDP would contest with other political parties.
“Then, I was a member of the E.K. Clark movement and I consulted with them and I decided to leave PDP and joined the Democratic People’s Party DPP, in other to have a force in removing PDP government from power, where l contested for senate.
“In 2014, Sen. Pius Ewherido died and a bye election of called and I contested the primaries in DPP and won and then went ahead to contest in the elections but was unsuccessful in the elections because of PDP ringing.
“I joined the APC and in the APC I have found my home. It has been a long journey because in 2015 and 2019 the party was unable to form a formidable force to win but in 2022, our party APC is stronger, and has repositioned to take over Delta state come 2023.
“In the last few years we have undergone a process of consultations in the party and other stakeholders in Delta Central. This election will attract more people to APC because they see us as the winning team and we will continue to woe them to join us.”
